You can find Rashmi Auto over at A-14 in the Community Centre area of Okhla Phase 2. We are situated right near the IOC Petrol Pump, which is a very busy landmark around here. Being in the Okhla Industrial Estate means we are surrounded by all kinds of workshops and factories. Our space is always a bit oily and smells like engine parts and rubber, which is exactly how an auto place should be. We have tools scattered across the workbenches and piles of spare parts waiting to be used. It is not a clean, shiny showroom; it is a working garage where things actually get fixed. The Kalkaji Extension area is always crowded with vehicles, so there is never a quiet moment outside. We open up the shop and immediately get to work on whatever came in the previous evening. There is a lot of hammering, the sound of air compressors, and the occasional shouting over the noise of the traffic. We don't have a fancy waiting room for customers, so most people just stand around or go get a tea while we look at their vehicles. It is honest, greasy work that keeps us busy from morning till night. The location near the petrol pump makes it convenient for people to drop by, and we have become a regular fixture in this little corner of Okhla. We just do the work, wipe our hands on old rags, and move on to the next car in line.
