We have been here in Vishwkarma Colony for quite a while now. Most people around Badarpur know the shop near the Pehladpur and Lcd cut. It’s a busy corner. We keep all kinds of books on the shelves, from school textbooks to some novels people ask for. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded in the afternoons when kids get out of school. We try to keep things organized, but there is always a new stack of notebooks or pens arriving that needs to be put away. My desk is usually covered in bills and order lists. It is just a regular place where you can find what you need for your studies or if you just want something to read. The lighting inside isn't the brightest, but we know where everything is kept. People stop by on their way home to pick up a newspaper or a register. We open early in the morning and stay until late evening. Sometimes the dust from the road comes in, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the covers. It is a simple setup here in Delhi. We don't have fancy displays. Just rows of books and some stationery items stacked up. It keeps us busy all day. If someone asks for a specific book we don't have, we write it down in a small diary and try to get it by next week.
