Being based in Delhi 110044 means there is always something going on outside the window. We started Omkar Buildtech because there’s just so much building happening in this part of the city and we wanted to be a part of it. We aren't one of those massive firms with glass buildings; we’re just a group of people working out of a regular office space here. Most of our mornings start with coffee and a lot of looking at site plans. We deal with all kinds of building projects around Delhi. It gets dusty and loud, but that’s the nature of the job. Some days are longer than others, especially when supplies don't show up on time or the traffic is particularly bad, which happens a lot. We try to keep things straightforward with everyone we work with. There’s no point in using big words when a simple explanation does the trick. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot since we set up shop. New buildings go up, old ones get renovated, and we just keep plugging away at our own tasks. It is hard work, and your boots are always dirty at the end of the shift. We don't mind that much, though. It’s better than sitting behind a screen all day doing nothing. We just take it one project at a time and hope the weather stays clear enough to finish the outdoor stuff.
