Npti New Delhi Badarpur

We are situated in the N.P.T.I. Hostel, specifically in room C-120, right near the BTPS area in Badarpur, New Delhi. This place is right in the middle of the industrial zone, so you can always see the smoke from the power plant chimneys in the distance. The hostel itself is an old building with long corridors and heavy metal doors. It’s not exactly a luxury hotel, but it provides a place for us to stay and work while we are involved with the training institute. The room is quite small, mostly filled with books, technical manuals, and a couple of narrow beds. Delhi summers are really rough here, and the air feels heavy, but we have a cooler that helps a bit. Most of the people living here are students or staff connected to the power sector. You can hear people talking in the hallways at all hours, and there’s always someone heading off to a shift or a class. We eat most of our meals at the common mess, which is just down the path. It’s a very practical environment where the focus is entirely on learning the ropes of the industry. The pin code 110044 covers a lot of ground, but this little corner of Badarpur feels like its own world. It is gritty and loud, but it is where the work gets done. We’ve gotten used to the constant hum of the city and the plant.
