Nisac Foundation

Our little office is located on the ground floor at JE-28 in Khirki Extension. It’s a busy neighborhood, and we are right there on the street level, so people can just walk in. We started Nisac Foundation because a few of us lived nearby and wanted to do something useful. It’s not a polished place. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the desk is a bit wobbly, but it serves its purpose. We spend most of our time dealing with the small stuff that adds up. People in Khirki Extn know us as the folks who are always around. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. Most people find out about us just by walking past the door or hearing from a neighbor. We keep things very simple here. If someone needs a hand or has a concern about the local area, they know they can find us here most days. It’s a lot of paperwork and talking to people, which can be tiring, but it’s good to be involved. We are just a small group trying to help out where we can. The ground floor location is great because we get to see everything that’s going on outside. It makes us feel like we are really part of the street life. We don’t plan on moving anywhere else anytime soon. This is where we belong.
