N Metal Craft

We are located up on the third floor at Ta 127/4 on Main Okhla Road in Tuglakabad Extension. Carrying heavy metal pieces up those three flights of stairs is probably the hardest part of the job, but it keeps us fit. The space is filled with the sounds of metal hitting metal and the hum of the machines we use. There is always a bit of grease on the tables and some metal shavings on the floor, no matter how much we sweep. The view from the third floor looks right out over the traffic on Main Okhla Road, which is always jammed up. It’s a bit noisy with the windows open, but we need the air to keep the place cool while we work. We don't have a fancy office or a place for people to sit and wait. Most of the room is taken up by workbenches and raw materials. Our hands are usually a bit dirty by the end of the day, but that’s just the nature of the craft. We’ve been in this building for several years now and we know all the other workshop owners on the lower floors. Sometimes we borrow a tool or help someone move a heavy load. It’s a rough and ready kind of place, focused on the work rather than how the office looks. We just do our bit and keep the machines running.
