Mughal Jewels & Crafts Emporium Pvt. Ltd. is situated right under the Safdarjung Flyover on the Jorbagh side. It’s a bit of an interesting spot being at No. 5 on Aurobindo Marg because you can hear the cars passing overhead all day long. The shop has been around this part of town for a good while. We spend our time looking after the various pieces of jewelry and crafts that come through the doors. It’s not a massive space, but we pack a lot into it. Most of us who work here have been doing this for years, so we know where every little item is kept, even if it looks a bit crowded to someone walking in for the first time. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass cases and arranging the displays so everything stays visible. It’s a bit dusty because of the road right outside, so we are always wiping things down. We don't really have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just open the doors in the morning and see who comes by. Sometimes it’s regular customers from the neighborhood and other times it’s just people passing through Aurobindo Marg. We keep things pretty simple here. We handle the crafts, talk to the people who stop in, and try to keep the business running smoothly despite the constant noise from the flyover above us every day.
