Modern Green Structure & Architecture plus Design

The office is on the second floor of B 27 in Nizamuddin West. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but the area has a lot of character. We have a long name, Modern Green Structure & Architecture plus Design, which we know is a mouthful. In reality, we are just a small team of architects and designers who share this space. Nizamuddin is a historic part of the city, and working here gives you a different perspective on buildings. Our office is a mix of old books and new technology. We have computer screens glowing next to hand-drawn sketches. It’s not a sterile environment. There are plants that someone forgets to water and piles of journals about sustainable building. We don’t use a lot of jargon when we talk to each other. We just focus on the structure and how things are going to be put together. The second floor gets some decent light, which is nice when we’re working on detailed drawings in the afternoon. We aren’t interested in appearing like a big firm. We like the fact that we can hear the life of the neighborhood from our windows. Most days are just a steady flow of work, from checking measurements to discussing material costs. It’s a straightforward way of working in a part of Delhi we really like.
