You can find us at Prithvi Bhavan on Lodhi Road, right across from the India Habitat Centre. It’s a pretty well-known spot in this part of Delhi. The building is part of the IMD Campus, so there are a lot of trees around which makes the walk from the gate quite nice, even when the heat is bad. Inside, it feels like a typical government office. There are long corridors with high ceilings and heavy wooden doors. We have stacks of files that seem to grow every week, and the desks are old-fashioned and sturdy. People move at a steady pace here; there isn't that frantic energy you find in some of the newer companies. We spend a lot of time reading reports and looking at data related to the earth and the weather. The atmosphere is quite serious, but we still find time to share a joke near the water cooler. It’s a quiet place for the most part, except for when there is a big meeting or a visiting delegation. The windows look out onto the greenery, which is a nice break from the computer screens. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building has that smell of old paper and floor wax that you only find in places like this. It’s just where the daily work happens and we keep things moving along until it is time to clock out.
