Nehru Place is a jungle of concrete and computers, and we are right in the thick of it at Hemkunt Tower. Being on the 10th floor means we have to wait for the lifts quite a bit, especially after the lunch break ends. Our office for Mg Worldwide Pvt. Ltd. at 1004 is mostly filled with desks and a lot of paperwork that seems to multiply on its own. It’s a busy atmosphere here. You can hear the hum of the air conditioners and the constant tapping of keyboards. Most people here are pretty focused, but there’s always someone making a trip to the water cooler or chatting about the cricket score. We get a decent view of the other buildings from the windows, though it’s mostly just more office blocks. The desks are cluttered with coffee mugs and notebooks. It’s not a very big space, so we all know what everyone else is working on. Sometimes the courier guys come in and out three or four times a day, which adds to the movement. We don’t really do much in the way of decorating; it’s just the basics needed to keep things running. It feels like a typical Nehru Place office—functional, a bit crowded, and always moving at a fast pace. We start early and usually stay until the sun is well down. It’s just the way it goes here at number 98.
