MAJUMDER PARTHASARATHI

Working out of B 42 in the SFS Flats at Sheikh Sarai is a bit different from being in a high-rise. Parthasarathi Majumder has this place set up in a way that feels very lived-in. The SFS flats have that classic red brick look that you see all over this part of South Delhi. To get to us, you have to climb a few flights of stairs because the elevator isn't always reliable during the day. The hallways are usually filled with the smell of someone cooking dinner or lunch nearby. Our office space is just a converted flat, so there’s a kitchen that we use mostly for making coffee and storing lunch boxes. The windows look out onto a small courtyard where kids play after school and people hang their laundry. It’s not a sterile environment at all. There are stacks of folders everywhere and the chairs don't all match. We’ve got a couple of old fans that rattle a bit when they're on high speed. The neighbors are mostly retired folks or families who’ve been here since the flats were built years ago. It’s a bit out of the way if you’re coming from North Delhi, but it’s a good, solid area. We don't put on any airs about who we are. We just come in, sit down at our desks, and handle whatever comes our way. It's a comfortable spot that suits the way we work together.
