MAJUMDAR SUBROTO

Our setup here at H 1504 in Chittaranjan Park is pretty quiet compared to the rest of Delhi. Subroto Majumdar has been based out of this part of C R Park for quite some time now. If you walk down the street, you’ll see lots of trees and people just going about their grocery shopping or walking their dogs. The office is basically part of the residential block, so it feels more like a house than a corporate building. We have a small gate and a patch of garden that we try to keep tidy, though the stray cats usually end up sleeping in the flower beds. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves full of books and papers. The wooden furniture is old but sturdy. We don't have any flashy signs out front, just a small nameplate near the bell. Usually, the neighborhood is peaceful until the evening when the markets nearby start getting crowded. You can hear the temple bells sometimes if the wind is right. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have known each other for a long time. Lunch is often something someone brought from home and we eat together in the small pantry area. It’s a simple way to spend the day. We don't really go for all the modern office trends. We just like having a steady place to work where the surroundings are familiar and the tea is always good.
