If you ever find yourself walking through Madangir, you might pass by House BG-5 where we are set up on the first floor. Maa Kalka Hospitality Private Limited is mostly just a few of us working through the daily logistics of where people are going to stay and how they are getting there. It’s a busy neighborhood, so there is always something going on outside the window to distract us if we aren't careful. The office isn't anything fancy or impressive, just a couple of desks and some chairs that have seen better days but still work fine. We try to keep things organized, but on Mondays, it’s always a bit of a mess with everyone calling at once and the paperwork piling up on the corner desk. The tea stall around the corner is where we usually get our mid-morning fix, and it’s a good excuse to stretch our legs for a few minutes. Being in South Delhi helps because most things are relatively close by, even if the traffic makes it feel further away than it is. We don't spend much time worrying about how we look to the outside world. We just focus on getting the rooms booked and making sure the guest details are correct in our system. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We’ve been in this spot for a while and we know the locals pretty well. It's just a simple, practical business.
