Getting to the third floor at T-64 in Khirki Extension can be a bit of a climb. It is a busy spot in Malviya Nagar, and finding a place to park your scooter or car is usually the hardest part of the morning. We work on infrastructure projects, which involves a lot of technical details and constant coordination. Our office is very functional and basic. It is mostly just desks, computers, and big rolls of drawings leaning against the walls in the corners. It is definitely not the kind of place where you will find fancy lobbies or expensive furniture. We focus more of our energy on what is happening out at the actual construction sites. New Delhi is always changing, and there is always some new road or building being worked on nearby. We have a small team here that has been working together for a long time now. We know each other’s habits and how to get things done without needing to talk about it too much. Sometimes we stay quite late when a big deadline is coming up, ordering some food and sitting around the main table. The air conditioning works okay, but it really struggles during the peak of June. We deal with suppliers, government offices, and the site laborers. It is a lot of phone calls and endless emails, but that is just the job we do every day.
