Lydian Music Academy Llp

We’ve been over here at B-4/219 in Safdarjung Enclave for a while now. The ground floor stays pretty busy with students coming in for their lessons throughout the afternoon. It started because some of us just really liked playing and wanted a spot where people could actually learn without a lot of fuss. Most days it’s just the sound of pianos or guitars through the walls. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything, just some chairs and the instruments. It gets a bit loud when the younger kids arrive after school, but that’s just how it is. We try to keep things simple. If someone wants to learn a specific song, we work on that. It isn't a factory. Sometimes the street outside gets crowded with cars, so parking can be a bit of a headache near the enclave. We spend a lot of time tuning strings and fixing up the sheet music stacks that always seem to fall over. It’s a local place, nothing too big. People from around New Delhi find us mostly by word of mouth or just seeing the sign when they walk past. We have a few rooms set up for practice. It’s mostly about getting the notes right and taking the time to actually practice. We aren't trying to be some massive institution, just a place to play music. Most of the staff live nearby, so we’re usually here early to open up and stay late until the last student leaves. It's a job we enjoy.
