Finding us is pretty easy once you spot the big water tank in Phase-II of G.I.D.C. Vatva. Laxmi Trading Agency is right there at 402/A. It’s an industrial area, so it gets quite dusty and loud with the trucks moving in and out all day. We’ve been operating from this unit for quite some time. The space inside is mostly filled with stock, so there isn't much room to walk around, but we know where everything is kept. Usually, it’s just two or three of us handling the orders and checking the inventory. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years. We open up early because that’s when the deliveries usually arrive. It can get hot in the afternoons, but we have a couple of old fans that keep the air moving. Dealing with supplies and trading isn't always exciting, but it keeps us busy. We don't make big promises we can't keep. If a shipment is late because of the traffic on the main road, we just tell people the truth. It’s better that way. We like being part of the G.I.D.C. community. Everyone knows everyone else around here. Sometimes we share tea with the guys from the next unit over. It’s a straightforward life at the agency, and we wouldn't have it any other way right now.
