Lahore General Store

You can find Lahore General Store over at S-28 on Masjid Road in Abdul Fazal Enclave II. We are just a neighborhood shop that sells the things people need for their homes every day. We have shelves full of lentils, soaps, snacks, and bottles of cooking oil. It is the kind of place where people stop by on their way home to pick up some milk or bread. The shop is usually a bit cramped because we try to stock as much as we can in a small space. I have lived around here for a while, so I know most of the customers by their names. We aren't a big supermarket with bright lights; it’s just a regular store with a couple of fans and a wooden counter. Sometimes the kids from the nearby houses come in just for a piece of candy. It stays pretty busy in the mornings and then again in the evenings after people get off work. We deal with various suppliers throughout the week to keep the shelves from looking empty. It is a lot of standing around and lifting crates, but it’s a good way to stay involved with the local community. There is always someone coming in to chat or ask about the price of eggs. It’s just a simple life running a shop.
