KUMAR KIRTI

I am Kirti Kumar and this is my little space in B 14, Kalkaji. I have been here for a few years now. Kalkaji is a busy place, and there is always something happening on the street outside. My shop isn't very large, but I have managed to fit everything I need inside. It started out as a hobby, really. I liked making things and people started asking if they could buy them. So, I decided to take this spot and see how it went. Some days are very slow and I just sit here reading or reorganizing the stock on the shelves. Other days, it feels like everyone in the neighborhood decides to visit at once. I don't have a team of people working for me. It is just me most of the time, and maybe a friend who helps out on the weekends when it gets a bit too much for one person. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, I know that. I just haven't found the time to move everything out to get it done properly. The flooring is a bit worn in places where people stand the most. I like the independence of running my own thing. You don't get rich doing this, but it is enough to get by. Most of my visitors are people who live in the nearby blocks and have become familiar faces over time. I usually keep some biscuits in a jar if anyone gets hungry.
