This office is tucked away in the Dda Flats over in Sheikh Sarai Phase 1. If you know New Delhi, you know these blocks can all look a bit similar, so we tell people to look for number 73. It’s a quiet enough spot for the kind of work we do. We mostly focus on tax work and keeping financial records straight. It’s a small space, not at all like those glass buildings in the city center. We like it this way because it’s easier to just get things done without a lot of fuss. Most of us live nearby or have a short commute, which helps. There’s always tea going in the back room and a lot of talk about how the weather is changing. The desks are usually piled high with folders and printouts because we still do a lot of things the old-fashioned way alongside using the computers. People in the neighborhood know we’re here, and sometimes they stop by just to ask a quick question about their filings. We don’t have a big reception desk or anything. You just walk in and someone will help you. It feels more like a home office than a big firm. We’ve been in this flat for a while and have seen the area change quite a bit. It’s a solid place to work from while we handle the complicated numbers for our clients. We stay pretty busy but usually find time for a chat.
