We are tucked away on the first floor of a building in Khirki Extension. It’s Flat No.3 at J-4/9A, right in the middle of the Malviya Nagar buzz. Kazstroyservice Infrastructure India isn’t some massive skyscraper office. It is actually quite a tight squeeze when the whole team is in. New Delhi is always loud and fast, and our little corner is no different. You can hear the traffic outside and the vendors shouting all day. It keeps us awake, at least. We do a lot of our planning here before heading out to various sites. It’s a lot of staring at spreadsheets and making phone calls to vendors who are running late. The stairs up to the office are a bit narrow, so we try not to carry too much at once. We’ve been in this spot for a bit, and we’ve gotten used to the local tea stalls and the way the light hits the balcony in the afternoon. It is an honest place to work. We don’t have fancy coffee machines or ergonomic chairs, just old desks and people who know their jobs. Sometimes the air conditioner acts up, and we just open the windows and deal with it. It’s just a normal office for normal people doing infrastructure work. No bells and whistles, just us trying to keep the projects on track from this little flat.
