Kay Ess Motors

Our place is right at 144/18 near Ashram Chowk on Mathura Road. If you know that area, you know how the traffic gets. It’s loud and dusty pretty much all day long, but we’re used to it. Kay Ess Motors is where we spend most of our waking hours. We deal with motors and vehicles, so there’s usually a bit of grease on someone’s hands and the smell of oil in the air. It isn't a quiet office job, that’s for sure. We have a few guys working here who have been around engines since they were kids. The shop floor is usually pretty full, and we have to move things around just to find a bit of space to walk. It’s a practical setup, nothing for show. We just focus on getting the work done so people can get back on the road. The building itself has seen better days, but it holds up. We get a lot of people stopping by because of where we are located. It’s a busy intersection, so there is never a dull moment. Sometimes we just stand outside for a minute to breathe, even if the air is mostly exhaust fumes. We don’t bother with fancy uniforms or anything like that. We just wear what works for the job and keep at it until the day is over. It’s a lot of manual work every day, and we go home pretty tired.
