Kalpana Charitable Foundation

Kalpana Charitable Foundation is run out of apartment 307 in Block A of the Royal Enclave. It is a quiet residential area, which suits us fine because we don't need a lot of noise. Most of our work happens at these desks squeezed into the main room. We chose this spot because it was available and near where most of us live anyway. Living and working in the same complex makes it easier to keep things going late into the evening if we have to. We don't really have a front desk or a secretary, so usually, whoever is closest to the door just gets up to answer it. It’s a bit informal, but it works for us. We handle a lot of different requests throughout the week. Sometimes it’s food, sometimes it’s help with school stuff for the kids in the building. We try not to overcomplicate things. The elevator in Block A is a bit slow, so we usually just tell people to take the stairs if they are feeling fit. The space is a bit small, especially when we have boxes of supplies stacked up by the window. We just keep moving them around to find a place to sit. It’s not a polished office, just a place where we get things done. We've been in Royal Enclave for a bit now and the security guards know what we do, so they usually point people the right way up to the third floor when they arrive.
