Our office is tucked away in House No. 128 in Harinagar Ashram. If you know New Delhi, you know that this area can get extremely crowded, especially during the rush hours near the flyover. We operate out of a building that looks much like the other houses on the street. It’s not a big glass tower or anything like that. Inside, we have our desks set up and we just get to work every morning. There’s a bit of a hum from the street noise that usually filters through the windows. We’ve grown used to the sounds of the horns and the local vendors calling out. It is a very lived-in neighborhood. Sometimes the power flickers when the weather gets too hot in the summer, but we just deal with it. We handle a lot of the local operations for Johnsons Controls India from this specific spot. Most of us have been working here for a while, so we know the shortcuts to get around the Ashram traffic. It’s a plain environment where we focus on our daily logs and coordination. There’s a small kitchen area where we make tea, and that’s usually where we end up talking about the weekend or the news. We aren't here to impress anyone with a lobby; we’re just here to make sure the service side of things stays on track for our clients in the city.
