Innovative Eye

Working in Delhi for Innovative Eye usually means dealing with a lot of noise and a lot of heat. Our workspace is pretty basic. We’ve got some old wooden desks, a few chairs that creak when you sit down, and computers that we’ve had for years. It’s not the kind of place you see in magazines. There are wires running along the walls and a thick layer of dust on the windows that we never seem to get around to cleaning. Most of us take the Metro to get here, so the morning starts with a long walk from the station through the crowded streets. We spend our hours looking at designs or talking about new ideas. It’s a creative process, but it looks like a lot of staring into space and drinking tea. The office is often messy with sketches and notes scribbled on scraps of paper. We don’t really have a boss who walks around in a suit. We all just wear whatever is comfortable and try to stay cool when the Delhi summer hits hard. Sometimes we go out for a quick bite at the nearby stalls, which is usually the highlight of the day. It’s a small team, so we know everything about each other’s lives. We just come in, do our thing, and try to make something interesting. It’s a bit chaotic, but it’s a good kind of chaos that keeps us coming back every morning.
