Our office B-26 is situated in Okhla Phase 1. It is an industrial kind of area, right near Sis Logistics. If you know Okhla, you know it is full of warehouses and offices, so it feels very productive around here. The Indian Institute Of Art & Design takes up this space, and it is a bit different from the usual factories nearby. Inside, we have a lot of open areas for projects and design work. It is not a slick, polished office like you might find in Gurgaon. It feels more like a workshop where things actually get made. There are always scraps of paper, fabric, or models lying around. We have some big windows that let in a decent amount of light, which helps when you are working on art stuff. The staff here is pretty relaxed; we are more concerned with the quality of the work than with wearing suits. We get our coffee from the local stalls and usually eat lunch together at our desks. The noise from the trucks and the logistics companies nearby is just part of the background. It is an honest place to work. We have been in Okhla for a while and it suits us. It is easy to get to once you figure out the Phase 1 layout. We just show up every day and try to make something interesting without any corporate interference.
