You can find us over at 35, Okhla Industrial Estate. It’s a typical industrial area, so there’s always the sound of trucks and machinery in the background. Indian Compressors Limited has been operating from this spot for quite a bit. We spend our days dealing with heavy equipment and parts that go into various cooling and pressure systems. The workshop floor can get pretty greasy and loud, but that’s just how it goes when you’re working with compressors. Most of us have been here long enough that we can tell what’s wrong with a machine just by listening to it for a minute. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just have a bunch of guys who know how to use a wrench and read a pressure gauge. Sometimes we’re behind on paperwork because we’re busy fixing something on the floor, but we catch up eventually. The office part is small and mostly filled with manuals and spare parts. It’s a bit of a hike to get here if the traffic in Okhla is bad, which it usually is. We just show up, do the work, and head home. It’s a practical life. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just making sure these machines don't stop running when people need them. We work hard, stay late if a job needs finishing, and come back the next day to do it all over again.
