Hindalco Industries Ltd

We are based on the third floor of D 103 in Lajpat Nagar 1. It’s a busy part of New Delhi, so there is always something going on outside our windows. This office for Hindalco Industries Ltd is where we handle a lot of the administrative stuff. The stairs are a bit steep, and the lift is sometimes temperamental, but we've gotten used to it. It’s a practical space. We’ve got desks pushed together and rows of filing cabinets that have seen better days. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the decor. Most of the people working here have been around for years, so we’re more like a small community than just coworkers. We eat lunch together and complain about the Delhi heat or the winter smog. The work is steady. We process papers, answer calls, and keep track of things that need doing. It’s not glamorous, but it keeps the wheels turning. Being in Lajpat Nagar means there’s always good food nearby, which is a plus for our lunch breaks. We don't have a big reception area or anything fancy. You just walk in and someone will be there at a desk to help you out. It’s a real, lived-in office where we just focus on getting through the daily list of chores and making sure nothing gets lost in the shuffle. It's just our regular work life in the city.
