Hedmed Welfare Foundation

We are located right on the ground floor at B-34-A in Abul Fazal Enclave II. If you know the Okhla area, you probably know Thokar number seven. That is exactly where we set things up. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that, just a plain space where we get our work done every day. The neighborhood stays pretty busy with people moving back and forth towards the main road. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit loud, but we are used to it by now. We started Hedmed Welfare Foundation because there was a need for someone to just be here and listen to what people are going through. There is usually someone at the desk from morning until evening. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who grew up around here and wanted to stay involved. The walls are painted a simple white and we have some old chairs for anyone who drops by to talk. It gets quite warm in the summers, so we keep the fan running all day long. Most people find us just by walking past on the street. We don’t do much advertising because the local folks already know where the door is. We just try to keep things moving one day at a time without making a big fuss about it. It’s just us here, trying to be helpful when we can. That is really the whole story of this place.
