Heart For Widows Welfare Foundation

We are based over at Sultanpur 163, Iind Kh No 406. It’s right here in New Delhi-South Delhi, 110030. Our small group at Heart For Widows Welfare Foundation didn't start with a big plan or any fancy office. We just noticed many women in our area struggling after their husbands passed away. Life gets hard when the main income stops and you are left alone to manage the house. We spend a lot of our time just sitting and talking with them to see what they need. Sometimes we help with paperwork for government schemes that are way too confusing for anyone to handle. Other times it is just about making sure they have enough to eat for the week or help with a small bill. The office isn't much to look at, just a few plastic chairs and a desk covered in folders and old notebooks. It gets pretty hot in the summer months but we keep the fan going and keep working. We don't have a big budget or any corporate backing. Most of us have other regular jobs and come here in the evenings or on weekends when we can find the time. It is really just about being good neighbors more than anything else. Sultanpur is a busy place and it is easy for people to get lost in the crowd. We try to make sure these women don't feel forgotten by everyone around them. Some people ask why we do it and honestly, it is because it needs doing.
