Hamdan Leather

We’ve been running Hamdan Leather out of F-146/2 in Abul Fazal Enclave-II for a while now. It’s part of the Jamia Nagar area. The street is usually pretty crowded with people and scooters. Our place is a bit hidden if you don’t know what you’re looking for. It’s a multi-story building and we have our section there. The smell of leather is the first thing you notice when you walk in. It’s a strong smell, but we don't even notice it anymore. We have stacks of hides piled up against the walls. Some are dark, some are light. We spend our time cutting and stitching. It’s a lot of manual work. We have a few sewing machines that have seen better days, but they still run fine if you know how to handle them. The lighting isn’t always the best, so we use these desk lamps to see the fine details. We don’t have a big sales team. Usually, it’s just one of us answering the door or the phone. It’s a family-run kind of vibe. We live nearby, so it’s a short commute. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a big order to finish. We don't have a fancy showroom. If someone wants to see what we have, we just pull things out from the shelves. It’s just how we operate. We keep a kettle in the corner for making coffee when the nights get long.
