We've been here in Kirtinagar for a while now. It's a busy spot with lots of noise from the other shops nearby. We mostly do metal work, making parts for different machines people use. Our workshop isn't anything special to look at. There are about ten of us here on a good day. It gets pretty hot in the summer and the fans don't always help much. We just take the drawings people bring in and try to make the pieces match. If you need a bracket or some frames welded, we can usually get it done. We spend most of our time around steel bars and metal shavings. Most of our equipment is older stuff, but it still works fine as long as we keep it oiled and maintained. We don't really have an office staff or a fancy lobby. Usually, whoever is closest to the phone just picks it up after wiping the grease off their hands. People from around this part of Delhi come to us when they need something specific made up without a lot of fuss. We don't do much marketing, mostly just people telling their friends about us. The traffic in this industrial area is a mess in the evenings, so we try to get our deliveries out early. The floor is always covered in iron dust, but that’s just how it goes here. We've stayed at 3/23 because it’s a familiar place and we know all the neighbors. It is home to us.
