Gateway Rail Freight Ltd operates out of a space at Plot No.230, specifically Flat No.02 in Hauz Rani, New Delhi. It’s an old part of the city, and we’re right in the thick of it. Working with rail freight means we spend a lot of time looking at train schedules and tracking containers across the country. The office here is where all the planning happens. It’s often a bit cramped with all the maps and ledgers we keep, but we make it work. Delhi is always busy, and Hauz Rani is no exception. We hear the noise from the street all day long while we’re coordinating with the rail yards. It’s not a glamorous job. Most of the time we are just making sure the numbers match up and the goods are moving on the tracks as they should. We have a small team here, and everyone knows what they need to do. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with big meetings and fancy presentations. We just get our coffee, sit down, and start calling the freight stations. It’s about being practical and getting the cargo to its destination. There are always delays or changes in the rail network, so we have to be ready to adjust. It’s just the way it is in this business, and we’ve been doing it long enough to not get stressed by it. We just keep our heads down and finish the manifests.
