You can find us on the second floor of K 41 in Kalkaji. It’s a typical South Delhi spot, always something happening outside on the street. We’ve been here for a while now, handling freight stuff. It’s not the kind of job you see much of from the outside. Inside, it’s mostly just us on the phones and filing documents for shipping. We deal with a lot of different types of cargo. Some days are slow and we just catch up on emails, while other days are completely chaotic with everyone trying to ship things out at the same time. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit narrow, but the office itself is okay once you’re inside. We have a few desks and a lot of filing cabinets. It’s pretty simple. We don’t go for anything flashy here. The main thing is making sure the containers get onto the ships or planes without any issues. We work with a lot of different people, from truck drivers to customs officers. It’s a lot of back and forth. Sometimes things get delayed and we have to spend the whole afternoon explaining why to a frustrated customer. That is just the way the shipping world works. We try to be honest about it and just do our best to fix things. We’ve been in the 110019 area code for a long time and we like the community here. It feels like a real place to work and earn a living.
