If you head down to Vatwa, specifically Phase III of the G.I.D.C, you’ll find us at B-20 in the Karnavati Estate. This area near Trikampura Patia is mostly industrial, so there’s a lot of metalwork and manufacturing going on around us. Fire Tech Engineering Corporation is what we call ourselves. We’ve been operating out of this unit for quite a while. The workshop can get pretty loud when the machines are running, but that’s just part of the job. We aren't the kind of people who sit in fancy air-conditioned offices all day. Most of us are out on the floor or dealing with equipment. It’s a bit of a gritty place, but we like it because we actually make things here. We don't have a slick website or a bunch of brochures. We just talk to people and do the engineering work they ask for. Sometimes the electricity cuts out for a bit, but we just wait it out and get back to work. Our crew is small and we’ve worked together for years. We know the machines better than we know our own cars. It’s just a straightforward engineering shop where we try to stay on top of things. We don't need any big titles or corporate structure to get the work done. We’re just here at the estate, doing our bit every day for the people who need it.
