Fedex Express

If you’ve ever been to Ashram in New Delhi, you know how hectic the intersection can be. Our office for Fedex Express is on the 4th Floor at 150 A, Harinagar. It’s a busy spot, and being up on the fourth floor gives us a bit of a view of the chaos below, though we don’t spend much time looking out the windows. We’re mostly busy with the logistics of moving packages and documents. The elevator works most of the time, but some of us just take the stairs for the exercise. New Delhi 110014 is a central enough area, but the parking is always a struggle for the staff. Inside, it’s just a lot of boxes, scanners, and people moving around. We don’t have a fancy reception area with flowers; it’s more about utility and getting things out the door. The air conditioning is a lifesaver during the summer months when the Delhi heat gets unbearable. We have a small corner where we keep the kettle and some biscuits. It’s a practical workspace for a practical job. We’ve had some long nights here when the shipment volumes are high, especially around the holidays. It’s just how the shipping business goes. We stay focused on the task at hand and try to keep the mood light among the team even when the phones won't stop ringing.
