Dua Tyre House

If you look for us, we are at Aw-411 in Shahpur Jat, which is right inside the Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar area. It is a very dusty and loud place because of all the trucks and heavy vehicles moving around all day and night. Dua Tyre House is basically a big store for tyres. We have stacks of rubber everywhere you look. It smells like new tyres in here all the time, which you get used to after a while. Most of our work involves moving heavy tyres and dealing with drivers who are in a hurry to get back on the road. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It is just a practical shop where the floor is usually a bit dirty from all the grease and dirt brought in by the vehicles. Transport Nagar is always crowded, and the noise of horns is something we hear from morning till evening. We have a small desk where we keep the books, but most of our time is spent out on the shop floor. It’s hard work and your hands are always black by the end of the shift. We’ve been at this spot for a long time and know most of the regular drivers who pass through. It’s a simple business without any frills. We just provide the tyres and get the job done so people can travel safely. The tea man comes around twice a day which is the highlight of our afternoon. We just keep stacking rubber till the sun goes down.
