We are at 100/1A, on the ground floor of Surya Appartment in Gautam Nagar, New Delhi - 110049. Dtdc Courier & Cargo Ltd. operates out of this space, which is basically a converted apartment area. Because we’re on the ground floor, we get people dropping in all the time with packages and questions. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze with all the boxes stacked up against the walls, and sometimes we have to move things around just to find a place to sit. The street outside is usually full of cars and people walking to the nearby market. It gets pretty loud during the day, but we’re used to the buzz of New Delhi by now. We spend most of our time scanning barcodes and weighing parcels. The air conditioner works most of the time, which is a relief in the summer. We don't really have a reception desk, just a counter where the work gets done. It’s a busy, somewhat messy office where things are always moving in and out. The staff here is just a few local guys who know the neighborhood well. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the decor; we’re just here to get the mail and cargo sorted so it can get to the next destination. It’s a practical place for practical work, and we keep things simple and honest every single day.
