D.S.Gupta Construction (P) Ltd., Mumbai

We're D.S.Gupta Construction (P) Ltd., and although the name says Mumbai, our current setup is in New Delhi at Badarpur. We are staying with R.G. Verma at House Number D 15/B in Gali Number 24. It’s in the M.B. Extension area. It is more of a home-office situation right now. We use the space to manage our projects and keep the equipment lists updated. The area is quite residential but we make it work for our daily needs. It’s quiet enough to get the billing done without too many distractions. Badarpur is a long way from the center, but it's where we are based for now. We do a lot of heavy lifting in the construction world. Most days start early with calls to suppliers. Sometimes the trucks don't show up and we have to scramble to find a replacement. That’s just how it goes in this industry. We don’t have a big corporate team, just a few of us handling everything from the ground up. We have done work in different cities, but this is the hub for our New Delhi operations. It is a bit cramped with all the maps and site plans everywhere. You might see a lot of cement dust on our boots when we come back in the evening. We focus on getting the structures right. It’s not about looking fancy, it’s about making sure the walls are straight. That is our daily life here.
