Our office is based in Bhagwan Nagar, which is right by the Ashram area in New Delhi. If you have spent any time in this part of the city, you know how packed the roads usually are, especially when everyone is trying to get to work in the morning. We are situated on the first floor of building number 33. This is a government-related setup, as we are part of the NCT of Delhi. Usually, our day starts with a cup of tea and a whole lot of paperwork to go through. There are files stacked in various corners, and the ceiling fans are almost always spinning to help with the Delhi heat. It is not exactly a glamorous place to work, but it is functional and serves its purpose for the daily tasks we have to handle. People are coming in and out all day for different administrative reasons. Being in Ashram means we are quite central, but it also means the noise from the main road is something we just have to live with. We have our desks pushed close together and some of the chairs have definitely seen better days. It is the kind of office where everyone knows what everyone else brought for lunch. We follow the set protocols and try to keep things organized despite the constant flow of documents. We don't have any fancy decorations, just the usual office supplies and a commitment to doing the work properly every single day we are here.
