Dreamworker Foundation

Our spot is on the ground floor at E-101/2, right in the middle of Krishna Nagar. If you know the area, you know it’s crowded and people are always moving around. We’re located at Kh No-459/7/7, which sounds complicated on paper but once you’re here, it makes sense. The office is pretty simple. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights out front. Inside, it’s just a few desks and a lot of folders. The floor is a bit cold in the winters, so we usually have a small heater going under the table. Being in New Delhi means it’s never really quiet, but we like the energy of the street. Sometimes the delivery guys get lost looking for the specific house number, so one of us usually has to go out to the corner to wave them down. We’ve been here at Dreamworker Foundation for a while now. Most of our day is spent talking to people who walk in or answering the phone. It’s not a glamorous setup, but it’s our own corner of the city. We have a small kettle for making tea, which is basically the most important piece of equipment we own. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. It’s just how things are in this part of town. No point in pretending we’re something we aren’t. We just show up every day and do what is required.
