We are located at Y-43 in Okhla Phase-Ii. If you know the industrial area here, you know it’s always crowded with trucks and people moving things around. We work with lighting. It’s mostly fixtures and electrical parts that we handle day in and day out. Our space is basically a warehouse with some desks tucked into the corner. It gets pretty hot in the summer, so we have a few old fans running all the time. They make a lot of noise. We don't do much in the way of decoration. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy with the inventory. Most of the guys here have been working together for years. We know where every bulb and wire is kept, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. Working in Okhla means you’re always dealing with the noise of the neighboring factories. We just put our heads down and get the orders ready. Sometimes the delivery vans get stuck in the narrow lanes, which can be frustrating. We don’t have a marketing department or anything like that. We just answer the phone, take the orders, and make sure the lights get to where they’re going. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living and we’re used to the pace of Phase-Ii. We keep a stash of biscuits in the drawer for when the tea arrives. It's just a regular workplace doing regular things to keep the business going.
