Our place is on the first floor, R/41, in Khirki Extension. This is over in Malviya Nagar, New Delhi, 110017. De Office Furniture Pvt. Ltd. is tucked away in one of those busy lanes where there is always something going on. We have the first floor of the building, which we use for our office and a bit of storage. It isn’t a fancy corporate tower. The stairs are a bit narrow and you have to watch your step when you are coming up. We spend our time managing the furniture orders and talking to the workshop folks. Malviya Nagar is a central spot, so we get a lot of people passing by our building. The office has a few desks and lots of papers scattered around from the daily work. We don’t really do big marketing campaigns or have a polished look. We just open up in the morning and stay until the work is finished. Sometimes the lane gets blocked by a truck making a delivery, but that’s just life in Khirki Ext. We focus on getting the desks and chairs out to the customers. It’s a straightforward operation and we like it that way. Most of our day is spent on the phone or checking the stock in the back room. We don't have any flashy logos or uniforms. It's just a bunch of us working in a regular room. We know our regulars and they know where to find us on the first floor. The coffee machine in the corner is usually running all day.
