Carpet World

You can find Carpet World over at D-28 in Lajpat Nagar-I. We’ve been in this neighborhood for quite a while now. The shop is full of rolls of carpet, and sometimes it’s hard to walk through without tripping over something. We spend a lot of time unrolling them for people to see the colors in the natural light. It gets heavy moving them around all day. We don’t have any fancy sales tactics. We just show what we have and let people decide. Lajpat Nagar is always moving, and we like being right in the middle of it. The shop floor is covered in scraps and lint, no matter how much we sweep. It’s just the nature of the business. We know many of the families around here who have been coming to us for years. We aren't a big chain store. It’s just a local spot where we keep a good stock of rugs and mats. Sometimes we sit on the stacks of carpets when it's quiet and just watch the street. We don't make big promises. We just try to have a decent variety on the shelves. It’s a lot of lifting and rolling, but it’s what we do. If you need something for your floor, we’re usually here from morning until the sun goes down. It is a simple way to spend the day.
