We’ve been here in Okhla Phase 2 for a while now. If you know the area, you know it’s a busy industrial hub with lots of trucks and people moving around all day. Our building is A 98/2. It’s a standard spot, nothing fancy, but we get the job done. Most days start pretty early because there is always something to sort out with the lenses and equipment we handle. People think of high-tech stuff when they hear the name Car Zeiss India Pvt Ltd, but really it’s just us working through the daily tasks. The office is usually humming with the sound of machines or just people talking over tea. We’ve seen this part of Delhi change quite a bit over the years. Some shops closed, new ones opened, but we’ve stayed put in this corner of the industrial estate. It gets a bit dusty outside with all the construction nearby, but that’s just how it is here. We focus on the precision work that comes through our doors. It’s not always easy, but it’s steady. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes getting here a bit of a headache, especially during peak hours. But once you’re inside, it’s just regular work. We don’t really do big speeches or fancy posters. We just come in, do what needs doing for the day, and head home. That’s how we operate at A 98/2 in Okhla.
