We are located at M-49 in Lajpat Nagar-II, right in the middle of all the noise and people. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how it is. Finding a parking spot is a nightmare, so most of us just walk or take the rickshaw. The shop isn’t huge, but we pack a lot into it. There are rolls of fabric everywhere and sometimes it’s hard to find a place to sit down. We spend a lot of time talking to customers about what they want. It’s not always easy to get the details right, but we try our best. The lights inside are a bit bright because we need to see the colors clearly. Sometimes we stay late when a big order comes in, and the street outside finally gets quiet. My hands are usually stained with ink or bits of thread by the end of the day. It’s just the way it goes. We’ve had this place for years and haven't changed much. The air conditioner works when it wants to, which can be a problem in the summer. We don't have a big website or anything. Most of our day is just spent handling the materials and making sure the measurements are okay. It’s a small family sort of thing, even if we aren't all related. We just show up and do the work. It’s a lot of cutting and sewing and checking everything twice.
