Book Vook

Book Vook is located in the basement area of Shop No - B-3, 5, 7 on the Main Road in Alaknanda. We are right near Tara Apartment, which most people in the area know. Being in a basement means it stays a little cooler during those really hot Delhi summers. The shop is spread across three units, so we have a decent amount of room for all the books. We carry a variety of titles and a lot of stationery items too. People often stumble upon us while they are walking along the main road. The stairs leading down can be a bit steep, but once you’re down here, it’s like a quiet little world of paper and ink. We spend a lot of our time shelving new arrivals and helping people find specific titles they’ve heard about. It’s not a fancy boutique; it’s a working bookstore. We have a lot of regular customers from the apartments nearby who just drop in to see what’s new. It’s mostly just us handling the daily chores of running a shop. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. We just open the doors and wait for the day to start. It gets a bit dusty being near the main road, but we try to keep the books clean. It’s a steady life, surrounded by books and the people who like to read them.
