Our office is located in the Jasola Vihar area of Delhi. It’s a busy commercial hub so there are always people moving around the metro station and the office towers. We are in a regular building here that feels very much like a standard Delhi workplace. The rooms are a decent size and we have set up our tables and chairs in a way that lets us see each other while we work. It’s not a very quiet place because you can always hear the hum of the city outside. There are plenty of tea stalls nearby so one of us is usually going down to get a cup for everyone in the afternoon. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture or art. Most of what you see are computers, printers, and stacks of paper that need to be filed away. The lighting is just those long tube lights on the ceiling. It can get pretty hot in the summer but we have the fans going. We have a small corner where we keep the water cooler and some snacks. Working in Jasola means we are close to a lot of other businesses so there’s a lot of coming and going in the hallways. It’s a plain, honest space where we just show up and do what needs to be done. No one really dresses up much here, we just wear what’s comfortable for a long day at the desk.
