Our main office is up on the 8th floor of Modi Tower, which is right in Nehru Place. It’s a busy building in a very busy part of the city. If you’ve ever been to Nehru Place, you know how crowded it gets with people and cars everywhere. We handle the administrative side of the sponge iron business from here. It’s a lot of tracking shipments, dealing with accounts, and making sure the factory side of things has what it needs. The office itself is pretty standard, filled with desks, computers, and a lot of paper files. We don’t really go in for the modern, open-plan look; it’s more about having a functional space where we can concentrate. Sometimes the elevators in the tower take forever, so we’ve learned to be patient. We have a small team here, and most of us have been with the company for a long time. It’s a steady job and we try to keep things simple. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall or anything. We just show up, do the work, and head home. The view from the 8th floor is alright, mostly just other buildings and the street below. It’s a practical place for a practical business. Dealing with iron isn't fancy, and our office reflects that. We just focus on getting the numbers right and keeping the operation moving forward without any unnecessary drama or corporate polish.
