Best Dye- Chem

Our place, Best Dye- Chem, is located at shed number 140 in the DSIDC area of Okhla Phase 1. It is a busy industrial zone and you can hear the sounds of work going on from early in the morning until late at night. The shed itself is a practical space where we keep our supplies and handle the mixing and packing. It’s not the kind of place with air conditioning in every corner, so it gets quite warm during the Delhi summers. We spend most of our time making sure the orders are ready and that nothing is leaking or spilled on the floor. There are about four of us who work here regularly. We know the neighbors in the other sheds and sometimes we share a cup of tea when things are a bit slow. The roads around here are often blocked with trucks loading and unloading goods, which makes getting in and out a bit of a challenge some days. We don't have a big fancy sign or a glass front, just the metal door of the shed. Inside, it's mostly shelves and containers. We've been here in Okhla for a good number of years now and we've gotten used to the noise and the dust. It’s just how it is in an industrial area. We do our work, talk to our regulars, and go home when the sun goes down. It’s honest work and we like being here.
