Being in Okhla Industrial Area Phase 1 means there is always a truck blocking the road. Our place is B-210. It’s a solid building, nothing pretty to look at. Inside, it’s mostly just work stuff. We have a few benches and some old chairs. I’ve been coming here every morning at nine for a long time. The air in Okhla is always a bit heavy with the smell of machines and smoke. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations. Most of the walls are just bare. We have a small area for lunch where we sit and talk about whatever is on the news. The work isn't always easy, and sometimes the machines act up, but we fix them and keep going. My cousin works the front area where we keep the records. We have piles of folders that go back years. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We get a lot of dust coming in from the street, so we have to wipe things down constantly. The neighbors are all doing similar work, so we know most of the people on this block. We don't have a big website or a team of people in suits. It’s just us in our work clothes. We do what we are supposed to do and then we head home. It's a simple way to make a living. There is always something to do, so the day goes by pretty fast.
